The terms for your CGD account and the CGD Golf app.

Interim terms, pending legal review. These terms apply until our final terms are published. Our lawyers are still reviewing the wording, and we will update this page when the final version is ready.

1. About these terms

These terms of use apply to your CGD account and to the CGD Golf app. Please read them before you create an account. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. CGD Golf is provided by Corporate Golf Day ("CGD", "we", "us"). Corporate Golf Day is run by Corporategolfday.com Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17517464, whose registered office is at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. You can contact us at support@corporategolfday.com.

2. Your CGD account

One CGD account works across CGD Golf and the Members’ Enclosure, and both share one points wallet. These terms cover the account and the app. A paid Members’ Enclosure membership also has its own membership terms, which apply alongside these. [to confirm: link to the Members’ Enclosure membership terms once published]

  • You must be 13 or over to create an account.
  • The details you give us must be accurate, and you must keep them up to date.
  • Your account is for you alone. Do not share it or let anyone else use it.
  • Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us straight away at support@corporategolfday.com if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Using CGD Golf

You may use the app for your own personal use. You must not:

  • enter scores, rounds or other activity that did not genuinely happen, or try to earn points in any way that is not allowed under these terms;
  • misuse the app, try to get around its security or interfere with how it works;
  • use the app for anything unlawful, harmful or offensive.

Information in the app, such as course details, maps, distances and tee times, is provided to help you and may not always be complete or up to date. Always follow the rules and local guidance of the golf club you are playing at.

4. Points and your wallet

Your CGD account has one points wallet, shared by CGD Golf and the Members’ Enclosure.

  • 1 point is worth 10p of golf. Points can be used for golf as shown in the app. [to confirm: points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to another account]
  • The ways to earn points, and how many points each earns, are shown in the app. We may change them; changes do not affect points already in your wallet.
  • Points expire 12 months after you earn them.
  • We may check activity before points are added, and we may remove points that were earned in breach of these terms or added by mistake.

Points earned through Tee Switch are covered by the Tee Switch golf points terms.

5. Tee Switch

The app includes Tee Switch, which introduces you to partners who may be able to save you money on suppliers such as business energy. Tee Switch is an introducer. It does not give advice or recommend products. How Tee Switch works, and how its golf points are earned, is set out in the Tee Switch golf points terms.

6. Emails and partner offers

When you sign up, you can choose whether to get CGD news and offers by email, and whether to get Tee Switch partner offers by email. Both are optional and off unless you tick them. You can change your choices at any time in the app or by using the unsubscribe link in any email.

7. Your privacy

How we use your personal information is explained in our privacy policy. To see or delete your data, or to ask a privacy question, email privacy@corporategolfday.com.

8. Suspending or closing your account

You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing support@corporategolfday.com. If you close your account, any points in your wallet are lost. [to confirm: what happens to points and any paid membership when an account is closed] We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or misuse the app. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first.

9. Our responsibility to you

[to confirm: liability, availability and consumer rights wording: to be supplied by our lawyers] Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. [to confirm: governing law and courts wording for customers in Scotland and Northern Ireland]
